The changes of Pro clubs in FIFA 17 can be expected

Microsoft and Sony have announced the absence of the current exhibition in Cologne conference, seems to have overshadowed the entire show, but EA still insists on publishing the latest FIFA 17 news for us. Gamescom, which is held annually in Cologne, Germany, may not garner the same hype and huge announcements as the gaming industry's crown-jewel event, but the exhibition is actually larger and attracting far more attendees thanks to it being open to Joe Public and not just those in the trade.

Gamescom is a good chance to show the development of FIFA 17. EA has revealed the new features in Gamescom and EA has invited the new cover star of FIFA 17 Reus to give a demo! Pro Clubs news always comes around gamescom, this year is no exception. EA have announced the changes Pro Clubs fans can expect to see in FIFA 17. Topping the list is a growth system that now takes into account your overall match rating, rather than an objective based one.

Player Growth has completely changed, with the new system based upon your overall match rating to focus on teamwork and co-operation. Customisation is a tricky one, because although limiting it to presets that you can adjust the colour of doesn't allow for much depth, we know what would happen if EA allowed full customisation. No matter how strong your filtering is, someone will work around it. I guess you need to couple strong filtering with equally strong reporting tools.

After each match you'll receive a rating out of 10. Depending upon which position you play, your player will level up at different speeds. For example, a striker will grow shooting more quickly than defending. You'll have the option to select from a wide variety of traits by spending skill points earned in game. These may include a giant throw in trait or more pace for your player. Kits and badges of your Pro clubs can also be customised. You'll also earn in game skill points, which can be spent on a wider selection of traits across Physical, Defending, Dribbling, Passing, Shooting, Pace, and Goalkeeping categories.

Also on the agenda is customisation, you'll now be able to customise your kits, only from a preset list though, hopefully they're not just the old creation centre ones, each with the option to edit the Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary colours. Sadly the option to also add a shirt sponsor in the way you could in Creation Centre doesn't appear to be available based on the screenshots. Finally, you'll also be able to edit your club crest too, again, from a preset list. FIFA 17 will be officially on sale on September 27, landing platform for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
