An interesting quirk of playing endgame in World of Warcraft (or WoW for short) Classic is all the new acronyms you learn. Gone are the days when all you needed to know was PVE, PVP, and brb (be right back). As you progress through the high-level dungeons and raids you start to see nicer gear drop, and the term "BiS" starts floating around. This stands for "Best in Slot" and it's the best piece of gear you can have in that particular slot (pants, trinket, weapon, hat, whatever) at your level. Not all BiS pieces drop in raids, but they're always seen as a stepping stone to raiding since they improve your 'toons stats. Besides being essential for your raiding set, some of them are just pretty darn cool.
There is nothing better than dropping a BoE Rare during your leveling adventures in Azeroth (maybe except dropping an Epic). Despite the fact that Rare items have very low drop chances that rarely exceed 0.02%, the number of mobs that you defeat during your journey makes finding one a matter of time. The value of BoE items that can drop for you varies greatly, and the most expensive pieces often look very inconspicuous, which means that you might sell an item for a tenth of its actual value without realizing it... While a clear best in slot (BiS) list is always available in WoW Classic, the items contained might be extremely hard or expensive to get.
