FIFA Ultimate Team is back will an all new mode FUT Draft

FIFA still does the emotion of the sport better than any other game, and some new presentation elements this year make it even better. Crowds are fantastic and represent their unique personalities, a new authentic presentation package has been added for the German Bundesliga, there are new types of weather and new player celebrations, and even the vanishing spray makes an appearance, which, for whatever reason, is delightful to see. FIFA remains an exhilarating game to play whether the moments are of joy, relief, or torment. Twelve women’s national teams make their debut in "FIFA 16." They’re represented well and have been treated respectfully, though they feel somewhat tacked on rather than being completely embraced within the game. There’s a tournament mode to be played between them, and they can be played against each other offline and online, but that’s it.

None of the players will appear in Ultimate Team, there’s no option to play through a career as a female, and the 12 teams represent only half of the Women’s World Cup field. Another tip that may be important is related to the value of the players. Don't look only to general attributes, but also at their individual characteristics. Even though a player may have a higher overall value, that may not necessarily mean he is the most suitable choice for a position. For example, imagine you need a quick winger with a good cross, and the scouts give you two options - one with 78 and the other with 80. It can, however, be that the player with the lowest overall value may in fact be faster and a better crosser. Just because a player has a higher overall value, that doesn't mean that he is an ideal solution for a position, as he may have strengths that are not essential for the role you want them to play. It is worth investigating and choosing players for their specific qualities, not just their overall value.

FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) is back will an all-new mode as well - FUT Draft. Here you will get to make roster decisions based on randomized card draws and ultimately build your own squad of players, then take them on a series of up to four matches with increasingly enticing rewards for winning. This is a great feature on multiple fronts. First, it give you the opportunity to play with some great players that might not be otherwise-easily obtained in FUT mode, since any player (even superstar legends, but on Xbox One only) can appear in the draft. Second, winning will net you valuable FUT rewards, including coins, packs, and more. Fortunately, you can potentially use this to your advantage by taking the pass on the turn and into the area you're running on to. Just be careful not to do it too close to the touchline, and don't use this passing technique across the backline when any attackers are about.

Previously, players consistently stood under the ball, waiting for the delivery to arrive. But ‘Dynamic Crossing’ means that players can anticipate the runs of teammates, placing deliveries ahead of play, allowing for diving headers and some pretty cool highlight moments. By holding a button, the player dribbling the ball will now engage in ‘no-touch dribbling’. This means that you'll be able to feint and dummy to try and trick your opponent into running the wrong way, creating just enough space for a shot or cross. FIFA launch day is an important fixture on every football fan’s calendar. It’s become such an important event that some even book holidays off work just to hammer it. And the time is upon us yet again.

One of the biggest sources of income for EA is FIFA Ultimate Team and other than a few adjustments to how you can search players in the transfer market, the mode has received a addition called FUT Draft. One of the highlighted features in the launch trailer, Draft allows you to create a team from a selection of players presented before you. First you select a formation, then you start to fill each position from a choice of players. These will vary from Legends to the very lowest of gold players and it’s your job to pick the team which will work best together - considering chemistry is key here.

In the past two FIFA games, it's been possible to customize any team's tactics to incredible depth. You can decide how aggressively your team presses the ball, what style of football your team plays, which runs every player on the pitch makes and even which runs the attackers make off the ball. In career mode in particular, tweaking these settings in your opening few matches will help create your ideal setup and decide how you want your team to play.
