EA have changed up the whole tackling system in FIFA 16

The FIFA 16 demo will be released on Xbox One, Play Station 4, PC, Xbox 360, and Play Station 3 consoles between September 8th and September 10th with a plethora of teams, stadiums, and gameplay options available to enjoy before the full game drops some two weeks later. Speaking of presentation, the authentic Bundesliga presentation is in the demo and will be active if you play Boruissa Dortmund against Borussia Monchengladbach at BORUISSA-PARK. The AI of goalkeeper has been increased in terms of difficulty. The goalkeeper was able to parry almost all of my long range as well as finesse shots. This was pretty annoying at first. It was difficult to score goals because of the goalkeeper's supernatural ability of blocking all of my finesse shots.

FIFA 16 feels different. You can no longer hold the sprint button and rush your way through neither you can score easy goals via header. New mechanics such as dynamic passing, no touch dribbling, and clinical finishing give the players freedom to choose their mode of attack. Attacking feels better than ever with all these features combined, but it’s the defending that is the star of the show. The game does a little bit to help you out with the controls as  tip assistant tells you what buttons to push for certain actions and a pointer shows you where the ball will go when you pass it. The one thing I really need to work on, is me pressing “A”. I am forever pressing “A” to pass the ball, then I press it again for no reason and my player kicks to the other team or out of bounds.

If I take my button fumble away, I’d say that these controls mix the old with a new flare, so the gamers following FIFA each year won’t have to learn a new button layout. Players finally have the chance to try out EA’s new “FIFA 16,” with a demo rolling out across consoles this week -- and it could be available now depending on your geographical location. For the first time ever, you have the option to play as a women’s team. The graphics, as expected, have improved with more realistic animations and prominent projections of how players currently look including Lionel Messi’s tattoos. Various new elements have been added to make sure that you as a player have a control over how do you want tackle the opposition's attack.

Women's national teams have been added in this year's installment where you can control a total of 12 teams and the demo gives you the opportunity to experience two of them (USA and Germany). In the men’s club football section, the teams available to play with are Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Borussia M?nchengladbach, Chelsea FC, Inter, Milan, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid CF, River Plate and Seattle Sounders. Your teammates make more intelligent movements on the field and players are quicker to intercept rather than just let the ball pass by them while you sit with your controller screaming at them to “Just put a bloody foot in!”. Me? I love a tackle. Scoring great goals and doing neat little tricks is a bit of fun for me, but sliding across the field and taking the ball and the man is something that really tickles my fancy.

On FIFA 16 they’ve changed up the whole tackling system so the slide tackles are more realistic and you can even pull out of them if you think it was the wrong choice. Oh, and as for the FIFA Ultimate Team Draft teaser that’s in the demo, it’s a bit pointless to be honest. You can only select your team and then can’t play as them, so yeah, that’s a bit naff. I’ll only start exploring that when the proper game is out.

This is the best FIFA demo ever. Very rarely do you get a chance to do anything other than a short-halved quick Kick Off match, and then you usually only have eight or so teams to choose from, but this year EA Sports have decided to let us use 10 male teams, two female teams, and have opened up the FUT Draft mode which brings far more enjoyment to the demo. If you like FIFA at all, you really need to download the FIFA 16 demo and try it out.
