To do this, you need to have an active WoW subscription or recent game time with World of Warcraft in order to qualify. If you have that, then you can get started with the following steps:
Step 1: You need to install WoW if you don’t have it already.
Step 2: Go to the WoW page and select World of Warcraft classic from the “Versions” page, and you will also have to select your account.
Step 3: Pick which realm you want to play on.
Step 4: Go to Create a Character. You are allowed to create three characters right now per active WoW account, and you will pick their class, race and faction, as well as their name which you can reserve for live release.
