Activision has revealed new content coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone this week. Both games get a new Operator, Ronin, who is an ex-Special Forces Operative. Ronin is available as part of a bundle in Modern Warfare and Warzone. Along with this, two new weapon bundles, Fool’s Gold II and Toxic Ooze are available in the in-game store.
Modern Warfare’s new playlist comes with Cabin Fever moshpit, which features some small to medium-sized maps and intense 6v6 Multiplayer action. The playlist includes Shipment, Rust, Shoot House, Hackney Yard, and Hideout as well as a variety of deathmatch and objective game modes. Players can also squad up with two other players to participate in Gunfight Trios Tournaments. Teams will battle in a single-elimination bracket-style Gunfight Tournament to be the top trio out of the 16 competing teams.
These new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer playlists should keep fans of the game plenty busy. However, the playlists aren't the only new thing in Modern Warfare after the April 21 update. The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare April 21 update also adds new multiplayer operator Ronin to the game, giving players the chance to add yet another playable character to their collection (assuming they have the COD Points to spare).
As Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 3 continues, fans can expect Infinity Ward to continue releasing new updates for the game on a regular basis. Future updates for Modern Warfare Season 3 will include new weapons and another new multiplayer operator, though it's unclear at the time of this writing exactly when they will be added.
Modern Warfare Season 3 will come to an end eventually, at which point the inevitable Season 4 will release.
